Anything can happen in the voting booth and NFL fans learned that in a big way on Wednesday. After it looked like the "Tush Push" was headed for a ban, the league shocked everyone byvoting against it. The rule change that theGreen Bay Packersproposed had all the momentum heading into Wednesday's session. Before the vote,Jason Kelce arrived to speakon thePhiladelphia Eagles' infamous play, opting to take on the role of informer and answer any questions the owners had about it. Kelce said on the latest episode of the "New Heights" podcast that some owners and players suggested at the last round of meetings that he retired because of the play, which was the cause of some injuries. The play lives on for now, but it didn't come without plenty of help. In what was a narrow victory for the Eagles and supporters of the controversial play, the final tally was 22 votes to ban and 10 votes to keep. Any rule change requires the approval of 24 teams, meaning it nearly got to the finish line before falling short. Here's a look at the teams that wanted the play to live on. The following 10 teams voted against the ban, according toESPN's Adam Schefter. Philadelphia Eagles New York Jets Baltimore Ravens Detroit Lions New England Patriots Cleveland Browns Jacksonville Jaguars Miami Dolphins New Orleans Saints Tennessee Titans After the ban came close to passing, it stands to reason that this proposal will be brought again in the future, especially if it becomes a main talking point in 2025. However, the time for rule changes this offseason has come and gone, so it'll be here for the upcoming season at the very least. Now that the proposal didn't pass, it seems safe to say the play had a little more support, or Kelce had more influence than everyone initially thought.
