WNBA Indiana Feverstar Caitlin Clark straineda quadricep muscle and will be sidelined for at least two weeks, her team announced on Monday. The team did not immediatelydetail how or whenshe suffered that injury. Clark had been battling a left leg injury earlier this spring andsat out a preseason contest. "Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark has suffered a left quadriceps strain and will be out a minimum of two weeks, the team announced today," according to the team's statement on Monday. "Further updates will be provided, as available, following re-evaluation." Clark's anticipated two-week break would mean missing four games, including Wednesday at the Washington Mystics, a Friday home game with the Connecticut Sun, a June 3 home game against the Mystics, and a June 7 game at the Chicago Sky. The 23-year-old played in all 44 regular-season games for Indiana last season, earning her theRookie of the Yearhonor. Clark has also played in all four of Indiana's games this year, averaging19.0 points, 6.0 rebounds and 9.3 assists per contest. She played in all 139 Iowa Hawkeyes games during her four-year run on campus and became the all-time leading scorer in the history ofwomen's college basketball. This is a developing story.
