On Wednesday (May 21), a source told PEOPLE about a "verbal incident" that ensued when Hudson, 24, attended the same Nantucket Christmas event as Belichick's exLinda Holliday. According to the insider, Hudson's night at theDreamland Stroll Partyended when she was asked to leave the event, which was DJed by Holliday's daughters, Ashley and Kat Hess. While the source tells PEOPLE Belichick, 73, was not present at the local fête,TMZcited an incident report from the event that stated Hudson was accompanied by Sapini, who won Miss Massachusetts USA in 2024. Per the report, Hudson allegedly suggested that if the crowned pageant winner "valued her current title, she should think twice about who her friends are." The report stated that Sapini didn't speak during their conversation with Holliday, but the young state representative did begin to cry in a corner of the room. Amid the media scrutiny of Hudson and Belichick's relationship and her tense run-in with Holliday last year, Sapini tells PEOPLE she wants people to instead focus on Belichick's professional endeavors as a college football coach. "While I understand the attention around the Dreamland event, I just feel like it's pulling focus from what really matters now. That's where I hope the attention goes," Sapini says. "What I do want to highlight is the incredible work and dedication of the UNC football team. "These young men have trained for years to get to this moment in their careers, and they deserve to be the center of attention," Sapini continues, referring to the UNC players. That's where the spotlight belongs," concludes Sapini in her statement to PEOPLE. As PEOPLE reported on Wednesday, a source said Hudson and Holliday's Christmas party clash was "very uncomfortable." "There was a lot being exchanged between them. It was very aggressive behavior," said the insider, noting that Hudson didn't instigate the interactions with Holliday's circle, but the former cheerleader did field comments from them throughout the evening.
